Doris has contributed to the Wilsonville community in innumerable ways. She has twice served as Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce president and served many years as a board member. She helped plan a retirement banquet for Wayne and Terry Lowrie when Lowrie’s IGA store closed. She served as secretary of Through A Child’s Eyes for many years and also served on the West Linn-Wilsonville School District Long Range Planning Committee. She was an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Wilsonville from 2009–2020.
