The Rotary Club of Wilsonville put in place leaders for the future by installing a new board for the 2024–25 Rotary year, which runs July 1–June 30. The new board was installed at a special banquet on June 25. The club has a big year ahead — it was chartered on May 14, 1975 and will celebrate its 50th anniversary next spring.

Mike Bishop, LegalShield regional director for Oregon, became the 48th person to serve as president.

“I love our community and the people in it,” Bishop said. “I am so honored to be able to serve as president for our 50th anniversary year. Our club has so many high-quality people that I get to serve with that I am confident we will have an even better year. I hope that my professional experience will help me be an effective leader. Our friends and neighbors can count on our club to continue to support our youth, create opportunities for community connections, work to ‘End Polio Now’, and impact communities worldwide.”

Bishop takes over as president from Gladys Boutwell, owner of Insurance by Design, who served for the 2023–24 year. She will continue on the board as immediate past president.
