Oregon military historians Warren W. Aney and Alisha Hamel draw on long and rewarding service with the Oregon Army National Guard, including years spent as organizational historians. Images in their book come from the rich collections of the Brigadier General James B. Thayer Oregon Military Museum, the Oregon Historical Society, county historical societies, other regional and national collections, and the authors’ personal collections.
