Club Meeting: Mental Health Matters

Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis, separate truths from myths, and discover practical coping skills and tools. Gary Marschke, Outreach & Development Manager for NAMI Clackamas, will share insights on mental health challenges, available resources, and ways to care for your own well-being. NAMI Clackamas, a grassroots non-profit, provides free mental health education, support, and advocacy through programs led by individuals with lived experience, improving the quality of life for everyone in the community.

Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms, separate truths from myths, and discover practical coping skills and tools for when you or someone you know is in crisis. Gary Marschke, Outreach & Development Manager for NAMI Clackamas, will share insights into mental health challenges, where to find help and resources, and how to care for your own mental health and wellness.

NAMI Clackamas is a grassroots non-profit organization providing free mental health education, support, and advocacy. Their programs are delivered by people with lived experience to improve the quality of life for everyone in the community. Everything they offer is available at no cost to those seeking support.

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Official bio:

After more than 25 years in media, publishing, and consulting, Gary Marschke launched an encore career in 2000 recruiting volunteers, as well as managing programs and community projects for Volunteers of America.

He most recently found a home as Outreach & Development Manager (Friend & Fundraiser) for NAMI Clackamas where he’s been since March of 2017.

Gary also launched an encore marriage in 1989 and is the proud father of two daughters and a stepson, as well as three grandchildren with one more on the way and a Yorkie rescue named Carlin. In his free time, Gary is an avowed and unashamed karaoke enthusiast.
