Club Meeting: Building Robots, Building People

Wilsonville High School and West Linn High School students from Error Code Xero, a local award-winning robotics team, will share how they design, build, and compete in international FIRST Robotics events. Learn how their team mission, "Building Robots, Building People," fosters technical skills and leadership through mentorship and community outreach.

Error Code Xero, Wilsonville’s award-winning robotics team, presents their journey through the world of FIRST Robotics. Comprising students from both Wilsonville High School and West Linn High School, the team has been building robots and competing since 2004. They will offer an exciting overview of how they design, build, and program robots for international competitions like the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), often referred to as “the varsity sport for the mind.”

During the presentation, students will also discuss opportunities for mentorship in fields such as business, marketing, and engineering, as well as their community outreach efforts. Discover how they embody the team’s mission of “Building Robots, Building People,” as they foster both technical and leadership skills, preparing the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Lunch is available off the menu; please arrive and order by 11:45 a.m. if you are ordering lunch. For more information, email president@wilsonvillerotary.com.
