Club Meeting: What Changes with Climate Change

Jeff Rubin, PhD, CEM, will define basic concepts for climate change, discuss current and projected climate-change effects in Oregon and the Pacific NW, and identify potential adaptation actions. Jeff is a (semi-)retired emergency manager in local government and recovering geologist.

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. Guests are welcome. Official bio: Jeff Rubin, Phd, CEM, is a (semi-)retired emergency manager in local government and recovering geologist. He teaches at Oregon Institute of Technology’s Department of Emergency Medical Services and with University Hawaii’s National Disaster Preparedness Training Center, serves on the National Academies Board on Earth Sciences and Resources, and has been a state medical volunteer since early 2020.
