Mike Tatlock of Grace Chapel will talk about the congregation’s new building and its initiative to support community organizations outside of the church through the use of the space. Partnering and proximity go together as we work side by side and share resources to increase the brightness for our community and those around us. We live in a world full of confusion, fear, anxiety and conflict. It can seem overwhelming and daunting, but where’s there is darkness there is even greater opportunity to be light. Being light means being in proximity with darkness. It means to carry the brilliance of hope, peace, compassion and unity.
Mike is the lead pastor at Grace Chapel and is chaplain for the Portland Trail Blazers in Portland, Oregon. He has been one of the youngest teaching professors at Prairie College and Multnomah College and an adjunct professor at Western Grad School in Portland, Oregon. He is an author, frequent teacher at workshops, seminars, seminaries, and churches around the world. His pastoral experience includes leading within urban, inner-city, and suburban churches. He has been on staff at Grace Chapel since 2004.
