Vocational Service — the opportunity to serve others through one’s chosen profession — is one of the five Rotary Avenues of Service that are observed and pursued by each club. (The others are Club Service, International Service, Community Service and Youth Service.) Additionally, Rotary has long been interested in the professional development of its members. Brad Hansen, branch manager for five Portland-area offices of Academy Mortgage and over 37 years of business experience is passionate about serving others with his vocation and professional skills will speak on this meaningful topic. As an 17-year member and past president of the Rotary Club of Wilsonville, he will discuss how each of us can apply the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self” and the “Four Way Test” for the betterment of their businesses, their communities, and their own professional fulfillment.
The Rotary Club of Wilsonville meets weekly Thursdays at noon to carry out its purpose of providing service and fellowship to members and the Wilsonville community. The club is holding hybrid “Virtual In Person” (VIP) meetings. People may attend in person, or they may use Zoom (http://www.tinyurl.com/Rotary97070). Guests are welcome. Masks are required for in-person attendance except when eating, drinking or speaking at the microphone. For more information, email president@wilsonvillerotary.com.
