Speaker: Tony Thacker, The World of Speed

Tony Thacker is the Executive Director of The World of Speed – a new type of educational motorsports-themed museum being developed in Wilsonville, Oregon, just south of Portland.  The World of Speed is expected to open in the spring of 2015.  The website is worldofspeed.org.  For six years prior to this  time, Thacker was the Executive Director of Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, Pamona, California.  He also worked for almost 10 years as marketing director at the famed SO-CAL Speed Shop after eight years at the Specialty Equipment Market Association.
