Rich Truitt, chair of North Willamette Habitat for Humanity, will give an overview of the organization and the service it provides to the northern Willamette Valley.

Wilsonville Mayor Juile Fitzgerald will be our guest speaker. Elected in 2020 and serving her first year in office, she will offer a look forward for where the Wilsonville community is headed.

U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Oregon) will be the guest speaker this week, and will provide an update on what is happening in the U.S. Congress, and how it relates to his district back home.

Incoming Club President Curt Kipp will give an inaugural speech on the new Rotary Year, which runs July 2021 through June 2022. He will talk about club goals and organizing principles for the coming year.

Jason Fellman, owner of J-Fell Presents and co-owner of Sterling Talent, shares insights about the impact Covid-19 has had on live music, the current state of the industry, and a forecast for what lies ahead in 2022 and beyond.

Former Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) student Anna Knill, who attended Wilsonville High School in 2016–17 and was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Wilsonville, will share her thoughts on her experience, as well as updates on her life since then. (Ms. Knill will be appearing live from Switzerland via Zoom.)

Claire Sarnowski, a 16-year-old high school senior at Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, will discuss her activism on behalf of Holocaust education, her friendship with Holocaust survivor Alter Weiner, and her forthcoming book on the experience, published by Little, Brown.

Cole Merkel, deputy director of outreach and engagement at HereTogether Oregon, a local nonprofit that provides services to the homeless. He will give an update on the 2020 Metro bond to provide services for the homeless and support affordable housing in the region.

Diane Pallas will be the presenter at the August 12 meeting of the Rotary Club of Wilsonville. An accountant with 16 years of experience, she will be discussing people's relationship with money.
