Marlys Mock, managing the outreach team for the $1.6 billion Willamette Water Supply Program, will discuss updates on the project. Her role involves coordinating and communicating with staff and the public regarding the construction of over 30 miles of large diameter pipeline, a water storage tank, and a new water treatment plant. This seismically resilient system is expected to be operational by 2026, enhancing water supply infrastructure in the region.

Kim Rybold and Matt Lorenzen will provide an update on the implementation of the 2019 Town Center Plan, which establishes a vision for a vibrant, walkable destination that inspires people to come together and socialize, shop, live, and work. Elise Schaff Laubach, Fund Development Manager at Family Promise of Tualatin Valley, will discuss Family Promise of Tualatin Valley (FPTV). FPTV is a non-profit organization that serves homeless children and their families. They, and their network of religious and civic organizations, provide families with safe sleeping space, meals, and access to resources. Individual family plans are developed with our FPTV housing navigator to help families identify and connect with services specific to their needs with housing being the first priority.

Lauretta MacColman, Rotary Youth Exchange Officer for Rotary Club of Wilsonville, will discuss Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary Youth Exchanges sends local students abroad and hosts international students in Wilsonville on both short-term and long-term (full school year) exchanges.

Wilsonville City Attorney Amanda Guile-Hinman will review the City’s work in 2022 and 2023 to bring its local code into compliance with federal and state mandates requiring the City to adopt regulations for persons experiencing homelessness to camp on City property. She will discuss the City’s communication and outreach strategy, the adopted local code provisions, implementation steps, and outcomes since the new regulations went into effect on July 1, 2023.

John Brookens, a dedicated Kiwanis member, will share the impactful journey of the Kiwanis-Doernbecher partnership since 1985. From funding critical neonatal and oncology equipment to training physician-scientists, their efforts have made significant strides in pediatric cancer care. John will highlight the program's success in producing world-renowned experts in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology. His talk will underscore our shared commitment to ending childhood cancer, a mission more vital than ever.

Bryan Simpson, Veteran Travel Trainer for Rogue Valley Transportation District, will talk about Go Vets Oregon. Go Vets Oregon makes it easier for veterans to get around and access services. Their primary mission is to increase veteran access to medical appointments and support services in rural communities across Oregon by promoting and facilitating carpooling.
