Members of Rotary Club of Wilsonville, Pam Wolfram (Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5100), Jaimy Beltran (Sergeant-At-Arms), and Lauretta MacColman (Rotary Youth Exchange Officer) will discuss their Rotary Visit to Colombia. During the month of September, a team of eight Rotarians (three from the Rotary Club of Wilsonville) traveled to the city of La Plata, Colombia, South America, to help with service projects and participate in cultural exchange. They helped the La Plata Rotarians repair and upgrade the town square for the city of more than 25,000 people.

Marlys Mock, managing the outreach team for the $1.6 billion Willamette Water Supply Program, will discuss updates on the project. Her role involves coordinating and communicating with staff and the public regarding the construction of over 30 miles of large diameter pipeline, a water storage tank, and a new water treatment plant. This seismically resilient system is expected to be operational by 2026, enhancing water supply infrastructure in the region.

Kim Rybold and Matt Lorenzen will provide an update on the implementation of the 2019 Town Center Plan, which establishes a vision for a vibrant, walkable destination that inspires people to come together and socialize, shop, live, and work. This update will include information on the first mixed-use project to be approved in Town Center and the City’s efforts to assess Urban Renewal as a funding source for some of the Town Center Plan’s infrastructure projects.

Elise Schaff Laubach, Fund Development Manager at Family Promise of Tualatin Valley, will discuss Family Promise of Tualatin Valley (FPTV). FPTV is a non-profit organization that serves homeless children and their families. They, and their network of religious and civic organizations, provide families with safe sleeping space, meals, and access to resources. Individual family plans are developed with our FPTV housing navigator to help families identify and connect with services specific to their needs with housing being the first priority.
