Lili Boicourt and Kelly Martin from Oregon Department of Transportation will be speaking on Oregon 2017 Auxiliary Lanes Project and what it means for the region.
Sujan Shadrak will speak about Water Project in India. He created a fundraiser to buy reusable stainless steel water bottles for underprivileged kids in India. Sujan has used the money raised from GoFundMe and from the generous donations of members of Wilsonville Rotary Club to buy reusable stainless steel water bottles. Sujan will be discussing how the fundraiser went, along with pictures and statistics to show the members how their money was spent, and what is to come of this project in the future.
Rotary is made up of local professionals who desire to make friends and serve the community. Rotarians Kyle Hagmeier and Glenda Walls will discuss their personal and professional backgrounds.
Joan Palmateer, Superintendent at Coffee Creek, will be speaking on Gender Informed Practices at CCCF (Coffee Creek Correctional Facility). Joan co-founded the Through a Child’s Eyes (TACE) program, a partnership between the Oregon Department of Corrections and the Rotary Club of Wilsonville.
John Budiao, Founder/CEO of nonprofit Operation Spartan Flag, will speak on the mission, vision, and purpose of operating wood work shop for Veterans who can come and feel useful building things with their own hands. More details to come.
Brad Moore, Fitness Specialist at Wilsonville Parks and Recreation, will be speaking on Unveiling the Fountain of Longevity: Latest Breakthroughs in Prolonging the Human Lifespan. Join us for an eye-opening lecture that delves into the cutting-edge research on life longevity.
Ned Walls will discuss the fentanyl crisis in Oregon. Ned is the Deputy Director of the Oregon-Idaho HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area).
Jane VanKuren, Rotarian from Sherwood, will be speaking about Keeping the ‘I’ in International Rotary. More details to come.
Mattie Quinn and Sabrina Mercer-Rott, both Wilsonville High School students, will discuss their experiences as long-term exchange students. They spent winter and spring of 2023 abroad. Mattie traveled to Trelew, Argentina and Sabrina traveled to South Korea. They attended school and will be sharing some highlights of their ten-month exchange adventure.
