Kyle Bunch takes the helm as the club’s 49th president

The Rotary Club of Wilsonville celebrated its yearly changing of the guard on June 30 with the installation of a new board for the 2022–23 Rotary Year.

Kyle Bunch, owner of Kyle Bunch Agency Goosehead Insurance in Wilsonville, became the club’s 49th president and the second one in club history elected to a second full term as president. He previously served in the 2015–16 Rotary Year. He takes over for Curt Kipp, who served from July 1, 2021–June 30, 2022.

“As we enter the new Rotary year, we are inspired by Rotary International President Jennifer Jones’ theme ‘Imagine Rotary’,” Bunch says, “What can we dream to create a larger impact in our community and our world? Imagine a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference. We are excited for what our club can do, and invite any of our community members who have a heart for service to consider joining us!”

Ten other Wilsonville Rotarians are joining Bunch on the board for 2022–23. They include the following:

  • Gladys Boutwell, owner of Insurance By Design, president elect;
  • Laura LaJoie Bishop, owner of Joy of Life Chiropractic, secretary;
  • Brad Hansen, branch manager of Academy Mortgage, treasurer;
  • Josh Golston, financial adviser at Edward Jones, director of club public relations;
  • Pat Wolfram, director of community service;
  • Josh Dalglish, mortgage officer at Academy Mortgage, director of membership;
  • Bob Harland, director, The Rotary Foundation;
  • Zoe Mombert, assistant to the city manager at the City of Wilsonville, director of youth services;
  • Austin Ramey, broker with J. Hill Property Group Keller Williams Realty, sergeant at arms; and
  • Curt Kipp, director of publications and communications at the Oregon Association of Nurseries, immediate past president.

As past president, Kipp will also chair the Wilsonville Rotary Foundation, which is the club’s 501(c)3 nonprofit arm that funds the club’s various service projects and programs. Joining him on the WRF board are Bob Harland, Pat Wolfram, Brad Hansen, Laura LaJoie Bishop, Kyle Bunch and Gladys Boutwell.

Bunch has big plans for the year, with the Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts coming up in July and August (www.wilsonvilleconcerts.com), followed by the resumption of a Through A Child’s Eyes in-wall activity at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in August; and much more to come throughout the Rotary Year.

Bunch added, “We are so excited for the opportunity to return to Coffee Creek this summer and provide an opportunity for the bond to be strengthened between the adults in custody and their children. As the first female Rotary International President, Jennifer Jones has put an emphasis on programs that enhance the role of women and girls in our communities. This event, along with others we are in the beginning process of planning, will help our club to live out that vision locally.”

The club meets in a hybrid format, with members able to attend in person, or virtually via Zoom. Meetings take place Thursdays at noon, currently in the community meeting room at Grace Chapel in Wilsonville.
