What is Rotary? We are People of Action.
That’s why members of the Rotary Club of Wilsonville are declaring the week of July 21-27, 2024 to be Rotary Action Week.
“We find that sometimes people have heard of Rotary but they don’t know what it is,” Rotary Club of Wilsonville President Mike Bishop said. “During the week, there will be six different opportunities to talk to Rotarians, learn what Rotary does in Wilsonville and elsewhere, and experience the transformative power of service and fun.”
Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
That’s the official version of the story, and it is true. But what is Rotary doing in Wilsonville, specifically? This week is a chance to learn the rest of the story. The Rotary Club of Wilsonville will be at the following events where you can say hello, pick up a speaker schedule, sign up for club emails, learn more about club projects, and perhaps even win a prize (more on that below!).

Win a prize! All of these events offer not only the chance to meet Rotarians, but the opportunity to sign up for the club’s mailing list and receive updates. Those signing up will be entered to win a gift card to a local restaurant (Boston’s Pub, Black Bear Diner, Red Robin or Wanker’s Corner). There will be drawings at each of our concerts, on July 18, July 25, August 1 and August 8. One signup gets you into all remaining drawings for multiple chances to win. Additional entries are available for signing up to follow the club on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn.
